Personal Consulting

Atelier Plastic Surgery Personal Consulting

Atelier Plastic Surgery Personal Consulting is a consultation program that looks at your body type, skin, daily routine and recovery environment before any treatment is decided, and puts together an individual plan for you.

We can give time to consultations because we perform one general-anesthesia surgery per day. With no surgical schedule pressing, you do not have to decide on surgery at the initial consultation. We look together at which procedure suits you, whether now is the right time, and whether surgery is needed at all.

Consultations that require undressing, such as breast and body, are conducted by Dr. Juyoung Go herself, a female board-certified plastic surgeon. The consultation rooms are run by appointment, one person at a time, so your path does not cross with other visitors'.

Process

How the consultation works

  1. 01Pre-consultation questionnaire

We record the area of concern, medical history, previous surgeries, current medications and daily routine in advance.

  2. 02Examination and measurement

The Director herself checks your body type, skin thickness, tissue elasticity and asymmetry. Where needed, ultrasound is used to look at the tissue.

  3. 033D simulation

For breast and body consultations, 3D simulation lets you preview the expected result and decide on size and shape together.

  4. 04Individual plan

The surgical method, incision, anesthesia, expected recovery timeline and precautions are written up as a document for you. You do not need to decide on the spot.

  5. 05Recovery environment review

We adjust the timing of surgery to fit your recovery environment: when you return to work, whether someone can accompany you, and the follow-up visit schedule.

Scenes from an actual consultation. You handle the implants yourself and look at the expected result together in the mirror and in the 3D simulation.

01 — ConsultationBefore deciding what to do, we look at who you are

After the Director examines and measures you herself, you hold implants of different sizes and shapes and decide together on the proportion to your whole body.

02 — SpaceA space devoted to one person at a time

The consultation rooms are run by appointment, one person at a time. Your path does not cross with other visitors', so you can talk in comfort.

03 — Surgery & SafetyThe same standard where no one is looking

The plan made in the consultation is carried through to the same standard: an anesthesiologist on the team, CCTV in the operating room and a post-operative ultrasound check.

3D Simulation

We look at the result
together, before surgery

For breast augmentation, breast lift and body surgery, 3D simulation (Crisalix) lets you preview the expected result. Because you can change the implant size and shape while checking the proportion to your whole body, "how much suits me" can be decided by eye rather than by numbers.

The simulation is a tool for conversation, not a tool that guarantees a result. The actual result may differ depending on tissue condition and the recovery process, and we explain that difference in the consultation.

What we look at

What we check together in the consultation

  1. 01
    What the problem is

Sagging or volume, fat or skin. A different cause calls for a different procedure. The decision criteria from the guide pages are applied as they are in the consultation.

  2. 02
Whether now is the right time

Depending on plans for pregnancy or breastfeeding, changes in weight, or the time elapsed since a previous surgery, it is sometimes better to postpone surgery. If postponing is the answer, we say so.

  3. 03
Whether surgery is needed at all

We begin by identifying cases where a non-surgical treatment is enough, or where even surgery is unlikely to bring the change you hope for.

  4. 04
    Whether your environment allows recovery

We check whether you can rest during the recovery period, whether someone can help you, and whether the clinic is within a reasonable distance for follow-up visits, and build that into the plan.

One a Day

Why we focus on
one person a day

The reason we can give time to consultations is our principle of one general-anesthesia surgery per day. Because the operating room, the recovery room and the medical team's time are given to one person, there is enough time for the consultation as well.

About Atelier Plastic Surgery
FAQ

FAQ

Q1Do I have to decide on surgery on the day of the consultation?
No. You can take the plan prepared in the consultation home, think it over and decide. Any further questions can be sent by phone or KakaoTalk.
Q2Who conducts the consultation?
Dr. Juyoung Go conducts it herself. The consultation coordinator helps with the questionnaire and appointment guidance, but the examination, planning and explanation of the surgery are done by the Director.
Q3Is there anything I should prepare before the consultation?
It helps to bring a list of current medications and any records of previous surgery (implant details, date of surgery and so on). For revision consultations, bringing the records of the previous surgery makes it faster to identify the cause.
Q4Can I have the consultation here and surgery elsewhere?
Of course. The consultation is where we work out which procedure suits you, and that assessment holds wherever you have surgery.
Q5Can a family member or companion join the consultation?
Yes. The consultation rooms are run by appointment, one person at a time, so you will not run into other visitors even if you come with a companion.
